Twin Cedar Farm Wedding

When I sat down with Julie and Brian last year to book their summer Twin Cedar Farm wedding I know it was going to be fun because they were so laid back. The minute they told me they were bringing Julie’s grandfathers 1972 yellow Volkswagen Beetle for photos I knew they were the perfect couple for me! They were already thinking about the photos that they wanted and how to make them personalized.  I love when a couple can come to me with personal items they want to incorporate on their wedding day, but trust me enough to put my artist spin on how to photograph them. Julie said that her grandfather had passed away and she felt this was a neat way to honor him.

Julie and Brian took the yellow color from the Beetle and infused it into their wedding decor. The couple used wildflowers and sunflowers for bouquets, boutonnieres and centerpieces. Julie also rocked a cute pair of yellow high heels and then the bridesmaids worn purple. I would have never thought to pair these colors together, but as you see they looked beautiful together!

Rain, Rain Go Away

The great thing about having a Twin Cedar Farm wedding is there is a back up plan if it rains. Twin Cedar Farm does have enough space inside to accommodate a wedding, however their property is beautiful and no bride wants to have go to plan B.  When we arrived at the Maryville TN wedding venue I thought we were going to have to do Twin Cedar Farm’s plan B because it was raining. We started shooting what we could that didn’t require being outside, but once we were finished it was still raining so we had to go to our plan B, shooting inside. Thankfully the rain subsided, it became beautiful  and we finished their photos outside.

We always encourage brides to speak with their venue and wedding professionals about what their plan B’s are for rainy days. Its always important to have one and have everyone on the same page just in case unforeseen weather happens.

Its said to be that if it rains on your wedding day its good luck, so we want to wish this happy couple well! May you have a long and loving marriage together.
