My Favorite Travel Photos || Knoxville Photographer

Here I am siting at my computer on the last days of 2014, thumbing through photographs that make me want to pinch myself in disbelief that this is my life! In a million years I would have never imagined that my life would end up like this, but I’m so thankful it did! A little small town girl from a small town in KY, now a Knoxville photographer blazing through life seeking adventure the best way she knows how – wide open!

This year I’ve be able to travel the world photographing and videoing it. Most trips have been for missions or work, however every second was full of new things. This year the places I’ve traveled have included Mexico, Thailand, Korea, Japan (ok Japan was just a layover, I’m really sad I didn’t get to explore the city) Hawaii, Nevada,  Arizona , Utah and a few other places in the mix. I’ve always loved traveling but never had to opportunity until now, so I guess I’m making up for lost time.

I’ve checked off more than a few major things on my bucket list including Hawaii and underwater photography. They say you should try something new every once in a while, so I did. Sadly to report, bobbing up and down in the ocean while shooting fresh pineapple out my nose (with full snorkel gear on) from being so sea sick wasn’t a new thing I wanted to try! However I’m still thankful that I tried it, even though it didn’t work out to my advantage. The Sea 2, Tonya 0

I got completely out of debt! The business has always been debt free (for the most part), but my love for nice shiny cars has been a love hate relationship! I took the plunge, made some hard choice and before I knew it I was on the road of a debt free life! I’ve been able to give more to my local church, to missions and charities by having this new found freedom of no debt and it by far has been worth it all!

This year I’ve made some new friends, cultivated relationships I already had and reconnect with old friends. I’ve been able to spend time with family and enjoy them. Its been an awesome thing to truly learn to appreciate the people in my life this year!

I’m still working on my goals for 2015 tonight. The one thing I do want to check off my bucket list is driving cross country and hitting some national parks along the way. I possibly want to start to organize a mission trip for photographers that I would lead and branch out more in the business as a mission photographer to continue going on short term trips with groups. On the business side of goals, I’ll start those tomorrow.

Who knows what 2015 will told, but I’m counting on life only getting better!
