Winchester Opera House and Moundale Manor Wedding Venue || Taylor
The Winchester Opera House and Moundale Manor wedding venues in Winchester, KY are amazing. They were perfect venues for Jordyn and Brent’s summer wedding. I absolutely loved being in my home state shooting a wedding! I do not live in KY anymore, but being a Lexington KY wedding photographer for the weekend was great. I’ll admit being in Lexington brought back so many great memories of my teenage years that I questioned myself why I never moved there. The Lexington area is just so beautiful!
How I Know Jordy
I’ve known Jordy since she was little (waving the “I feel old flag” over here…ugh) so when she emailed me asking me to shoot her wedding, I was beyond excited! Who would have thought when I was taking pictures of her and Lexi (her sister) in their grandparent’s front yard when they were little, I would be shooting her wedding one day.
A few weeks after Jordy and Krista’s email I met with them to go over all the details. Krista and Jordy were knees deep in wedding planning, but the wedding venue was still up in the air. After talking to Krista I knew she was leaning toward Lexington wedding venues and I’m so thrilled they chose the Winchester Opera House and Moundale Manor. They were perfect wedding venues!
I had never met Brent, but always heard great things about him. A few months after they booked me for their wedding they came to Knoxville and I shot their engagement photos. Brent wasn’t too talkative that day, but he was so kind to Jordy. I knew from their engagement session this wedding would be a fun and stress-free wedding to shoot.
Brent and Jordy went with a classic look for their wedding (which I’m a total fan of). The couple invited their close friends and family to their Winchester wedding and the day was so perfect. The wedding party was fun, the staff at the venues were so helpful and knowing the bride and her guest made for a stress-free day for me.
Traveling
I’ll admit traveling for a wedding can be exhausting, but when planned correctly it can be the most exciting thing for a wedding photographers career. I absolutely love traveling for weddings, it took years for me to figure out how to correctly prepare for destination weddings but once I did those wedding it was great. Shooting at new wedding venues sparks something with my creative juices that I can’t explain. It also gives me something new to look forward to.
Jordy and Brent, I’m so thankful that out of all the amazingly talented Lexington wedding photographers you guys asked me to shoot your wedding! I’m in love with these images and hope you treasure them for the rest of your lives.
