Are you looking for a Morristown TN wedding venue? If your answer is yes, then you need to check out The Plantation Barn of 1810! As you can see from the photos this farm is beautiful! I tell Alice (the owner) all the time I’m jealous that her family gets to sit on their front porch and enjoy this beautiful scenery. She says its nice, but with so many acres and it being a working farm there is a lot of work to keep the place beautiful, but it’s worth it!

At little history on The Plantation Barn of 1810

In the year 1810,  a young preacher man, Ephriam Moore built amid his 2000 acres this majestic barn. As the story goes, he, his wife and children lived in the barn until he could build a suitable cabin. It wasn’t long after that, young Rev. Moore was called into service for the War of 1812. Upon his return, he built up his estate which included the main house, which still stands today.  The original family cabin is hidden within the walls of the main house and have been surrounded by the hand hewn logs and handmade bricks. The original cabin rooftop can still be seen in the attic of this ole colonial home.

The Barn has weathered well over the last 205 years. Craftsmanship and pride is how it’s been around for so long!  The premises surrounding The Barn are beautiful, overlooking a pond and surrounded by rolling hills and beautiful natural landscape. This farm and home have stayed in the same family line from 1810 until 1997 when we made the purchase.  The family line is: Moore…Taylor…Peoples…Carver…and now the Rogers Family. The Rogers family is the first family outside of the original family to own this little piece of Tennessee history.

I loved being invloed in this styled shoot. The Plantation Barn of 1810 wanted to show off their new ceremony sites and they are beautiful! Also shout out to all the vendors involved!
