Sidney || All-National Honor Ensembles Symphony || Knoxville TN Photographers

I met Sidney on Saturday at Whitestone and let me tell you this 15 year old girl is pretty impressive! She is beautiful, kind, fun and has an amazing gift for music. Check out her bio….

Sidney Matlock, age 15, is an honor student and 10th grader at The Webb School of Knoxville. Sidney has been playing the violin since she was 3 ½ years old.

Sidney has been a consistent winner and finalist of the prestigious Ralph Einstein Youth Aliyah Concert competition since 2007. In 2012, Sidney was a soloist with the Oak Ridge Symphony Orchestra.

Sidney is a veteran member of the Knoxville Symphony Youth Orchestra. She is a member of the 2016 Tennessee All East and Tennessee All State Orchestra. Most recently, after a rigorous audition, Sidney was named a member of the 2016 All-National Honor Ensembles Symphony Orchestra. Only 4 Tennessee high school musicians, including Sidney, successfully auditioned into the All-National Orchestra where they rehearsed and performed in Dallas, Texas November 10-13, 2016.

In July, 2016, Sidney studied violin performance for two weeks in Tuscany, Italy as a student with the head of the University of Tennessee’s String department, Dr. Miro Hristov, at the 2016 InterHarmony International Music Festival.

Sidney enjoys playing golf as a member of the Webb Upper School Female Golf Team. Sidney also enjoys volunteering in the Knoxville community.

I have no clue what Sidney will do once she gets out of high school, but I’m if it’s anything like her musical talents I’m sure she will do just fine!

Best wishes!

A little video I shot to show you all how good she is!
