Faith Promise Church || Costa Rica || Knoxville TN Humanitarian Photographer
Faith Promise Church is such an amazing church to be able to serve on the mission field with. This makes four years that I’ve been serving as a humanitarian photographer on the mission field and I’m so blessed to do so. These trips do something to the deep parts of my soul that I can’t even explain. The trips stretch, they make me grow and I’d even say they let me see just a glimpse of how Jesus sees His people.
This year I had no plans on going back to Faith Promise Costa Rica, but I’m so thankful I listen to the tug on my heart to go. Thank you to all who sponsored me to go and all of those who helped with things like watching the dog, the house and airport rides. They say it takes a village to raise a child, I think it’s still taking one or maybe two.
A Full Week
The week was full of so many activities. We were serving the youth of Canas, I thought a photography class to local photographers and we also had a free day. The group had several things planned for the youth including going to schools, a soccer tournament and much more. I’ve never wanted to teach photography at all but was asked to do so while I was there, which was hilarious because the first day I didn’t have a translator! Nevertheless, I had a blast! On our free day, we hung out at the beach and zip lined and let’s just say I had a fear of heights! Yap that was scary and fun all in one!
I’m so thankful for my Costa Rica family, our church that loves people well and the opportunity to travel the world with my photography.
