Destin Destination Wedding Photographer
Destin destination wedding photographer, it’s not my normal title, by I’ll take it all day long! Destination weddings are my jam!
Last year Aly contacted me about shooting their wedging and of course I was stoked! I met Aly several years back through one of my former brides and her good friend Lori. It’s always so awesome to get to work with people that you know, it’s an extra bonus if they are awesome!
Jeff and Aly had set a wedding day and a few things changed here and there but their intentions were to always elope. They are a super adventurous couple, so I was so excited to learn this information! They will have a reception here in TN, but they just wanted to go somewhere cool and celebrate together.
Road Trip To Florida
I was supposed to fly down to Destin, FL last week, but with everything going on with COVID-19 I decided to drive. I booked a tiny cabin on the beach, loaded up the pup, camera gear and loaded the play list/podcast on my phone. Not only was I excited for the wedding, but any morning I can run on the beach and chase sunset seems like a perfect day to me!
The night I arrived in Florida, Jeff, Aly and I went to my favorite donut shop on the plant, The Donut Hole. Even though we were social distancing we laughed, hung out on the beach and let the world stand still.
The next day I arrived at Jeff and Aly’s condo to shoot their elopement. They were almost ready and it was one of the most chill elopements ever. I love elopements, for most of them are the same way. We walked down to the beach and they said their vows to each other. We took photos, frolicked on the beach, chased the sunset and laughed.
About The ODD COVID-19 Photo Below
Speaking of laughing, the couple wanted to do something to mark the craziness of their wedding. Weddings are always a lot to plan, some harder than others. The couple had already crossed some hurdles, but then CVOID-19 showed up. This couple wasn’t going stop them from saying I DO.
Let me say the couple and myself understand and are treating this very serious. They however, wanted a photo to mark the craziness of the moment. After they said I DO we walked down the beach to take this photo to lighten the mood and remember the crazy time it’s brought. Little did we know we’d run into a guy in a full hazmat suit who was also trying to bring some laughter in such a hard time. Soooo of course we had to take a photo!
Cheers
Give me an elopement every day of the week, I love them. Jeff and Aly were a dream to work with. I always love when clients become friends! I can not wait to shoot their reception and future things to come.
Cheers to you both!
Love
