Great Smoky Mountains Summer Wedding || Jacob and Kaylee

Great Smoky Mountains Summer Wedding || Jacob and Kaylee Have you ever attended a Great Smoky Mountains summer wedding? If you have then you understand what I’m about to say…it is simply stunning. Any excuse to get to go to the Smoky Mountains is a treat for me, but when I get to photograph a wedding there it is even more special. When I view the mountains I’m reminded of the word home, a place where everything is at peace and the world stops for just a moment. I think everyone who comes to these old mountains takes a piece of “home” with them. That is the reason why so many people keep returning year after year. Wedding Day I

Summer Whitestone Wedding || Ross and Leslie

Summer Whitestone Wedding This summer Whitestone wedding was a dream! Ross and Leslie for sure had a wedding to remember. If you have ever been to Whitestone Country Inn then you understand why their wedding was so dreamy! This East TN wedding venue has the most amazing views of the mountains and it’s also on the water. Add in horses grazing in the field and a white picket fence and you have the perfect setting for a gorgeous wedding. This wedding venue holds such a special place in my heart. My mentor built it almost 30 years ago. I’ve had the privilege of staying at this venue so many times and I know every amazing photo shot there is. My

2400 Miles & Huckleberry Pancakes || Cross Country Drive

Cross Country Drive 2021 Today makes day 8 that I’ve been on my cross country drive. I can’t believe that I actually did it! A cross country drive has been on my bucket list for years, but because I needed to do it in the summer months I’ve never been able to. Summer months mean wedding season for this photographer, which also means less travel during peak season. This year things looked a little different, I had back-to-back weddings and then a few weeks off (never happens) so I decided to go! I’m still debating if a cross country drive was the best choice. There have been some major bumps in the road (pun intended) but here I am in

Proposal Photographer In Knoxville TN || Luke and Alaina

Proposal Photographer In Knoxville, TN A while back I got an email from Luke. He explained that he was moving to Knoxville, TN and he’d be here over a long weekend soon. Also, he told me while he was here his girlfriend was going to be visiting and he wanted to propose to her. Luke told me that he had started planning some things like getting her family here and he was looking for a proposal photographer in Knoxville, TN. I emailed him back and told him to call me when he was free. Proposals are tricky, especially if they are with their girlfriend a lot. He called me when he was alone and we started planning. The end result

Ramble Creek Weddings || Tyler and Adrian || Athens, TN

Friday Weddings Ramble Creek weddings are amazing but have one on a Friday and it’s simply divine! There’s something about a couple that chooses to not have a traditional Saturday wedding that I adore. As we all know, weddings normally happen on a Saturday. However, off-day weddings are becoming a thing and I love it! To me, it seems that non-Saturday weddings end up being more chill. From the vendors to the guest to the couple, things seem to be a little more relaxed. I can get used to that! I like non-traditional things, especially after 14 years of doing wedding photography, it’s a nice change of pace. I think moving forward after this past year we will start seeing

Smith Hallow Farm Wedding || Seth and Jacquelyn || Kernersville, NC

Rolling With It What do you do when your client contacts you and tells you that her postponed wedding (due to the world shutting down) has been rescheduled in three weeks? YOU ROLL WITH IT, and you enjoy every minute of it! This is what happened with Seth and Jacquelyn’s wedding. They did not want to push their wedding date out any further, so they didn’t. They found a venue near their home in North Carolina and decided to have it there rather than here in Knoxville. Thankfully, I was available to photograph their Smith Hallow Farm wedding! Everything went perfectly and as you can see it was beautiful! The Wedding Day I loaded up the car to head out
