When I first met Ashley, it was in one of my favorite coffee shops in downtown Knoxville, TN. The coffee shop was Honeybee Coffee to be exact. I was doing a million things that day and she was in town for a short while, so we squeezed in some time to meet. I sat down with her and her brother to go over everything and thought “YES, she’s the perfect fit for us”. She was joyful and said all the right things to let me know she trusted me one hundred percent as a professional! She, of course, ended up booking and the rest well is history!
I didn’t get to meet Carter until their engagement session. When I did get to meet him, it made me even more excited about their wedding. Some couples I want to hang out with other than their wedding day, Carter and Ashley are one of them! Their engagement session was super fun! After hearing their wedding plans, I could not wait to photograph their fall Jackson Terminal wedding!
The Wedding Day
The wedding day finally arrived and all I could think about was how much fun it was going to be. I seriously wanted to be able to replace myself and just go as a guest! But we all know, that couldn’t happen…clearly! My team and I arrived at the coolest Air B&B on Gay Street in downtown Knoxville. It was time to do their first look. They had decided to do it on the rooftop terrace and I was excited. As you can see Carter’s face says it all, was more excited than anyone else!
We left the Air B&B to head out to our location to shoot group photos. It was the coldest day we had shot this year, but as you can see braving the cold was worth it. Fall and East TN go pretty well together. After photos, we arrived at Jackson Terminal for the wedding and then the party began! Needless to say, this wedding was fun! I’m so thankful that is couple picked me to shoot their wedding. Out of all the amazing Knoxville wedding photographers this city has to offer, it was an honor!
