"Tonya did our wedding photos. They are amazing! She is so knowledgeable of The Great Smoky Mountains, where we chose to get married, and was so helpful during the planning process. Would recommend her to anyone looking for photos!"

The short answer is yes. The longer answer is it is a long process, it costs money, they have to meet the requirements of the park and it isn’t guaranteed they will get approved. If your photographer doesn’t have their permit (CUA) already I’d highly suggest booking a photographer that already has their permit. The rangers do check for permits and it would be horrible for your photographer to be no be able to shoot your wedding.

We help our clients file theirs. But if you are doing it yourself you’ll click this link. You’ll then fill out the permit paperwork an pay your fee. Within a few days Lisa or one of the park employees will email you. They will confirm your permit is approved or denied and give you more instructions.

Yes, you can view the locations and information for The Smoky Mountains Weddings.

Each site is different. When you pick your site from the link above there is information under each location of numbers and restrictions.

The park is big on leave no trace so you can not decorate, throw flowers, have arches or any kind of set up. Most places will allow you to have up to 6 chairs for the elderly but confirm it with the GSMNP.

Yes. There’s also a limited number of cars. See the parks website link under each site for information.

If it rains, there’s not a backup plan. Most sites are outside and you need to be flexible. There are a few places like Spence Cabin and churches that do have covered options. Thankfully we have made friends with the rangers and they have helped us with situations that have arose with weather in the past.

We do not limit the amount of photos you get. Each wedding (or session if adding it there) is unique based on the amount of time you book, number of photographs and several other factors. You will get everything that makes the final cut. I want you to have quality photos over quantity, so for example I want turn all the photos into black and white photos too just to double your amount you’d receive back.
