The Trillium Venue

The Trillium Venue is one of the top wedding venues in The Great Smoky Mountains National Park area. With its grand view of endless mountains and prestige vendor selection, you cannot go wrong with a Trillium wedding. It is a 10 out of 10 in my book!

I am local to the area, yet I’ve never shot a wedding that consisted of local people at this wedding venue. It’s not because locals don’t get married here, they do! The majority of my clients in the Smoky Mountains area are destination weddings. (Fun fact, did you know the Smoky Mountains are one of the top wedding destinations in the United States?)

The Wedding

Last weekend, we had the honor of photographing Andy and Sandy’s wedding at The Trillium Venue. The weather was perfect, and East TN showed off her beauty! I asked the couple why they chose the Smoky Mountains because they are well-traveled. Andy is a Yatch captain and Sandy is a flight attendant, so travel is part of their daily lives. The couple told me that Sandy’s family had memories here since childhood. A Trillium wedding was the perfect place for both families to meet in the middle. Sandy’s family is from Florida and Andy’s is from Wisconsin.

Some Highlights

One highlight of the day for me was their choice of classic decor. Their colors were black and white. For me, classic is always a bonus, you can’t go wrong with this style! The bridesmaids wore black (which I love) and each dress was a different style. The decor was large white flower centerpieces, fine glassware/plates, and black linens. It was a perfect combination that screamed elegance!

Another highlight I can’t forget to mention was their two-year-old daughter. She rocked a Frozen performance that the whole crowd joined in during the reception. I love that they are raising their daughter to be confident and she showed it!

As always the Trillium Venue was a great host. This Smoky Mountains wedding venue is top-notch in our books. The Smoky Mountains National Park sparkled in all her glory at sunset as always! Their wedding vendors came together and this wedding was a success!
