Wedding at The Barn of 1810 || Morristown, TN Wedding Photographer

Morristown, TN Wedding Venue Caleb and Kayla had their wedding at The Barn of 1810 this past weekend and I was there to celebrate! It had been a while since I had photographed a wedding at The Barn of 1810, so I was super excited. If you are a wedding vendor and you’ve ever worked there, you know it’s always a joy and that it will be a super chill day (thanks Alice!) Kayla’s mom booked me a while back and we had been corresponding via email and phone. I meet Caleb and Kayal shortly after and I knew that this couple would be easy to work with, and they were! The Wedding Day The wedding day came and

The Press Room Spring Wedding || Knoxville, TN || Justin and Brianna

The Press Room Spring Wedding The Press Room spring wedding of Justin and Brianna was truly magazine-worthy! I love the fact that this couple wanted a more intimate wedding, but wanted to do it with glam! If you guys know Brianna, then you are not surprised! She’s the sweetest, but she is always dolled up (southern phrase for fancy). I know her wedding would not disappoint in the fancy department!   The Press Room spring wedding had to be moved from last year. Brianna’s family is from New Jersey and a lot of them couldn’t travel due to travel restrictions. Even though they went ahead and got married last year they still wanted to celebrate when they could! Even though

Whitestone Inn Rainy Wedding | Kingston TN | The Hills

Whitestone Inn Rainy Wedding Morgan and Rebecah’s Whitestone Inn rainy wedding was beautiful! If you’ve ever been to a wedding at Whitestone Country Inn then you understand what I mean when I say beautiful. Waterfront acreage with rolling hills, white picket fence, horses grazing in the field, and if you are lucky you may see an eagle or two. Yes it truly is a “sanctuary for the soul” and I’m so thankful for my fond memories of this place (a dear friend of mine was the original creator of Whitestone) A little (ok a lot) of rain didn’t stop this couple from having a blast with their closest friends and family. I won’t lie I always hate when there’s rain

Downtown Charleston Engagement Session | Bivins and Brittani

Charleston Engagement Session | Bivins and Brittani This downtown Charleston engagement session was so much fun! I shot Bivins and Brittani’s proposal session last week (see it here) in the Great Smoky Mountains. I love the Smokies, but I’m always up for a downtown Charleston engagement session! I’m very familiar with Charleston because I had family that lived there for years, so it’s always fun to return. Downtown Charleston is historic and beautiful. Every bend and turn there’s something new to see and explore. With alleyways, doorsteps, colorful buildings, and cobblestone streets, Charleston has it all! Tuesday Evening When Bivins asked me to meet them in Charleston I said yes! Charleston is always a yes in my book! We

Smoky Mountains Engagement Proposal | Bivins and Brittani

Smoky Mountains Engagement Proposal When I get a call to shoot any surprise proposal I always get excited. The guy is always nervous, but he normally has a plan. Sometimes those proposal plans work out and sometimes they change. In the end, they always work out! Some people plan lavish things, some people in the middle, and others prefer very simple things with just the two of them. I love anything that people have planned that includes a professional photographer, but that means they have thought out things from beginning to end. If you are planning on having a surprise proposal here is some tips on planning a Smoky Mountains engagement proposal. Bivins had a plan, but that changed a

Wilderness Conversations || Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Park

Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Park “Aren’t you scared to travel by yourself?” That’s the question I get asked over and over again. My response is always, “well, the worse thing that could happen is I could die.” People always look at me like I’m crazy. I continue by saying “well think of it like this… if I had to tell a story around a campfire in heaven of how I got there, I’d want it to be Epic! Who knows how I may die, but I’d rather take my chances and have a cool story to tell than to play it safe and miss out on adventures!” People then kind of laugh and say they get it, but something
