Homewood Castle Wedding || Matthew and Tia || Asheville NC Wedding Photographer

A Homewood Castle wedding was just what this photographer needed to go out of 2016 with a BANG! Seriously guys, a winter wedding in a castle was just a dream! Pair that dream with an amazing couple and you get an amazing wedding.

Picture it, a castle (ok its hard to get past that fact) in Asheville, with a couple that just gets your weirdness (including your obsession with coffee)! They love your artwork, they value your professional opinion and they are just super fun! Yes, a perfect bride and groom for me!

Matthew and Tia found me in at the beginning of the year at a different a wedding venues open house and we just connected instantly. The weird thing is they had already booked their venue and the venue they were touring was about 2 hours from their house. The likelihood of us meeting at this open house was slim, but I’m so thankful we did! They booked us to shoot their wedding in Asheville, NC and the planning immediantly began.

Their wedding day came and I couldn’t wait to arrive with my team to Homewood Castle. We showed up and the place was so pretty. Everything was perfect, their wedding planner had everything set up and Tia and Matthew were ready for their first look! I’ll let the photos tell the story but I do want to share some fun facts from the day.

*they played Star Wars music (and a series of other cool theme music)

*they had coffee for their guest

*they brewed a cup and shared it in place of a unity candle during their wedding (YES!!)

*they did the mannequin challenge and we were involved in it

……the list could go on and on, but those were just some of my favorite moments!

Cheers to the future Matthew and Tia!!

OXOXO
